This page summarizes where information used by MTL Exits is stored and how available deletion and retention controls work.
MTL Exits does not require or offer an app account.
MTL Exits stores recent and favourite routes, custom labels, Home and Work shortcuts, settings, and local reminder state on your device. Core station, route, transfer, car, door, and exit data is bundled with the app.
Foreground location is optional and is processed on your device to suggest nearby metro stations. You can select every station manually, and the inspected feedback flow does not attach your device coordinates.
If you send feedback from the app, MTL Exits transmits your message and the available departure and destination station context to its support service. The service sends that report by email and records limited operational metadata such as a request identifier, a hashed IP address, message length, route-context presence, and delivery status for rate limiting, reliability, and abuse prevention.
You can remove saved routes and shortcuts in the app. Clearing the app data or removing the app removes remaining app-local information, subject to your device backup settings.
For questions about a feedback report or support communication, contact us using the address on this page.
Information processed by our services is retained only as long as reasonably needed to provide the feature, protect the service, resolve disputes, meet legal obligations, or maintain backup integrity. Different records may have different retention periods.
Questions about stored information or an available deletion request can be sent to support@mtlexits.ca.
